Make the universe a better place one scavenger hunt at a time.

Why:

cityHUNT exists for one reason, and one reason alone: to inspire people to build great relationships and learn how to have fun together.

This especially translates into our work environments where we spend the majority of our time. Building teams through challenging and fun scavenger hunts is our passion.

How:

By listening. There are an infinite number of team building options out there and even some other scavenger hunt companies.

What drives us is our clients. Not who they are (though they are great) but what they want. Every hunt is built based on their goals and vision. This means no two of our hunts are ever the same.

What:

Scavenger Hunts! That is what we do and who we are. Scavenger Hunts are the perfect way to get teams to build deeper relationships without even knowing it. Plus they are fun and memorable.

For some reason when people start solving clues, taking pictures and competing in challenges everyone ends up on the same level and all preconceptions disappear. This is where long term positive change can sneak in.

Our Story:

City Hunt was conceived in the fall of 2000 during  a scavenger hunt birthday/pub tour  at NYU. Ben Hoffman found his way onto one of the teams and after witnessing the fun and frenzy the hunt created, knew what he had to do. It was then the idea of cityHUNT was first conceived.

A few hours and a few bars later Ben Hoffman and Jaymes Dec agreed that the idea was company-worthy and the two set up shop in Jaymes' grandmother's apartment in Queens. The company started off as a hobby while both partners finished up school at NYU and took on full time jobs. cityHUNT gained traction as companies came looking for fresh ideas and new ways to strengthen their teams.

Ben had experience facilitating teambuilding programs in schools and corporations through his day job at NYU. Taking this training along with Jaymes' knack for puzzles, they had a fun and useful product that corporations wanted and needed. By 2005 the company had an office on Madison Avenue, a talented staff of adventure guides, and an impressive list of fortune 500 clients.

cityHUNT continues to evolve and offers a variety of services for clients ranging from pub tours to team building to experiential marketing.  We don't know what the future holds but we wouldn't be surprised to add an out-of-this-world scavenger hunt (literally) to our list of offerings in the next few years.
